Welcome to Web-Based Training (WBT)
Who can use WBT?
Web-based training is available to all regular full-time BoCC employees.


What is offered?
Click on the Course List button in the menu to the left to view a full list of courses available. You may choose courses from two libraries: Interpersonal and Business Skills Development, and Office and Business Software.


How do I get started?
1. First check to see that you have the right system requirements. 2. Then, complete a Registration Form (click here to download), listing the full series name of the series you wish to take. Get your supervisor's approval and send the signed form to OED by mail (Drawer AS01) or FAX at 534-7676.

3. OED will contact you shortly thereafter with login, password, and access instructions.



Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I have to take the whole class in one sitting?
No. Each course has a built-in save feature that will bring you back to where you stopped at the end of your last session. To use the save feature, you MUST use the EXIT button at the bottom of the course page. This EXIT button is the same as the save function.

Are there assessments or tests?
There are pre and post tests. The pretests allow the system to see what you already know so that you only have to take material that is new. The post tests assure that learning has taken place. A passing score is 85%.

Can I take more than once course series at a time?
No. The first series must be completed before a second series can be assigned.

Can I take any course I want?
OED is dedicated to supporting a wide variety of development opportunities to broaden your skills, help you succeed on the job, and enhance your career potential. We do encourage you to read the course descriptions carefully, focusing on the specific course objectives and their relevance to your learning goals. With supervisor's approval, you may register for any course listed.
